Program Evaluation
PES is adept at helping clients to understand how their credentialing programs “measure up” relative to established industry standards, and stakeholder needs and expectations.
Program Audit
PES will conduct a comprehensive audit of your program against established industry standards and/or accreditation criteria in order to assess its strengths and weaknesses as well as its overall defensibility. PES has extensive experience auditing against criteria such as those established and/or espoused by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI/ISO/ISE/17024), the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (APA, AERA, NCME), the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC), and the Guidelines for the Development, Use, and Evaluation of Licensure and Certification Examinations (PES). By way of a detailed gap analysis, we will present specific recommendations—in priority order—for refining or enhancing your organization’s development, implementation, administration, and evaluation initiatives, and for ensuring its ongoing defensibility.
Value Proposition Study
Using proven market research methodologies, PES will explore how candidates and other key stakeholders perceive your credential, identify how your program can better meet stakeholder needs, and develop a clear picture of the value proposition your organization will need to deliver in order to attract new candidates to your credential and successfully promote recertification of existing credential holders. We will examine current and future expectations of your organization with regard to advancing the credential, improving its visibility and credibility within the industry and among key stakeholders, and effectively positioning it relative to competing products and services. We will further examine expectations with regard to the real and inferred benefits of holding the credential, determine the extent to which those expectations are currently being met, and identify the actions required to fulfill those expectations in the future.
Cross-Border Mobility Study
Drawing on an in depth understanding of global credentialing, PES will assess how your credential can satisfy existing or emerging credentialing needs in prospective new markets, map your credential against established credentials in other locations, set performance standards that will meet the requirements of specific countries or jurisdictions, and advise you how to promote your credential in new locales. To guide your organization in policy decisions related to cross-border reciprocity, PES will conduct an evaluation and gap analysis to establish the equivalency and differences between the respective national or jurisdictional examination processes and content outlines in order to establish comparability of entry-to-practice competencies.
