Application Processing / Candidate Services
PES offers end-to-end application processing and candidate services in support of credentialing programs, including, but not limited to:
- Web- and paper-based processing and candidate applications and fees.
- Eligibility verification.
- Phone- and e-mail-based support of candidate inquiries and issues.
Candidate Services Representatives (CSRs) are trained in the requirements of each client program to ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing candidate data and responding to candidate inquiries and issues.
Editorial Services
PES offers comprehensive editorial services in support of item development. PES editors are trained and highly experienced in the review and modification of examination items to ensure grammatical and syntactical correctness, structural and logical soundness, conformance with each client’s particular format and style preferences, and conformance with standards governing answer-choice structure, reading level, psychometric soundness, and freedom from cultural bias or unequal impact on non-native speakers of English.
Translation Management Services
PES’s Production/Editorial staff coordinates closely with each client’s chosen translation services vendor to ensure that examination forms are translated in accordance with the client’s examination development and publication schedule. Once a translated examination form is approved by the client, PES readies the form for publication to a CBT test driver or produces a camera-ready copy of the form so that examination booklets can be printed. After an examination form has been administered, PES joins the statistics of the form’s different language versions and identifies differences in performance between the English and other language versions at both the form level and item level. PES then works with the client and/or its translation services vendor to determine if differences in performance were translation related, and advises regarding the implications on scoring and future examination form construction.
Printing and Fulfillment Services
PES offers comprehensive printing and fulfillment services in support of credentialing clients. To ensure maximum security as well as adherence to PES’s strict quality standards, all production, printing, sealing, shrink-wrapping, packing, shipping, and receiving of examination materials and/or candidate certificates is performed by trained PES staff, on company premises. Utilizing the latest digital printing equipment as well as print-on-demand capability, PES is able to meet the production needs of clients without sacrificing on quality or timeliness of output.
