New York, NY (June 11, 2012)- Professional Examination Service, the most experienced organization in professional licensure and certification services, today announced two new additions to its executive team to extend the comprehensive expertise that it provides for credentialing programs.
Walter Jimenez joins PES in the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Client Relations. In this role, Jimenez will strengthen PES’ client services and enable more rapid introduction of new services to benefit credentialing programs.
Jimenez comes to PES with deep experience in assessment at American Institutes for Research, the College Board and Educational Testing Service (ETS). Most recently, at Bloomberg Ventures, Jimenez was responsible for the design, creation and implementation of the Bloomberg Assessment Test (BAT) for entry-level financial professionals.
Earlier, at American Institutes for Research (AIR), Jimenez was principal assessment specialist, serving as Deputy Director of test development for all subject areas. At the College Board, as Director, Curriculum and Assessment for the Advanced Placement program, he was responsible for oversight of all curriculum and assessment issues for the AP’s courses and assessments. And while at ETS, among Jimenez’ many responsibilities was client and test management for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) project.
Jimenez holds an M.A. from Rutgers University and a B.A. from New York University.

In addition, Frank Catalano joins PES as acting Chief Marketing Officer. Catalano has advised PES on strategic initiatives for several months, and in this new role will work more closely with the executive team on a day-to-day basis to help expand PES’ reach and support the success of client credentialing programs.
Catalano has experience in both assessment and credentialing, having spent several years as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Pearson’s U.S Assessment & Information Group and as an interim executive for Pearson’s Evaluation Systems business on the launch of its computer-based National Evaluation Series teacher certification testing program. Earlier, he served as interim Chief Marketing Officer for MetaMetrics. As principal of Intrinsic Strategy, Frank has been a consultant to a wide range of technology-related assessment and education organizations.
