The PES Fund
PES understands that many not-for-profit associations would like to establish credentialing programs, but lack the financial resources or expertise to do so. In response to this need, and as an extension of PES’s own not-for-profit credentialing mission, the PES Fund offers qualifying organizations the opportunity to receive an in-kind investment in the form of PES services and mentoring in support of the initial development and early-stage growth of a credentialing program.
The goal of the PES Fund is to support not-for-profit organizations with promising credentialing plans in the development of high quality, financially viable credentialing programs that serve not only the organization and its stakeholders, but also society at large.
Who Can Apply?
Any not-for-profit organization can apply for investment funding through the PES Fund.
How is an Application Judged?
Each application will be judged based on the soundness of the credentialing plan and the applying organization’s capacity to carry it out. To that end, each applicant will be asked to provide responses to the following:
- Please describe your organization, its mission, and its management structure.
- Please describe your organization’s credentialing vision or plan.
- What is driving the need for the credential? (Regulation? Stakeholders? Employers?)
- Who will benefit by the credential and how?
- How large is the market for the credential? (i.e., How many potential credential holders exist, and over what timeframe?)
- What is your organizational capacity and plan for promoting the credential?
- What is your organizational capacity and plan for distributing the credential?
- If credentialing activity already exists in this space, which organizations currently sponsor credentials, and how would the proposed credential be positioned relative to those offerings?
